As you can appreciate, I have no overall health history to provide a proper answer. Kidneys take time to break down and there's contributing factors such as diet, vaccines, drugs and environment. I doubt the poop/foam eating is directly responsible, but just added to the issues causing the outcome. My condolences for your loss.

Has the dog been having seizures? (gardenal use) I'd add more options to the diet ie sardines: amzn.to/3vaXrj6, raw organic eggs, some oregans ie liver and another meat option, not just beef. Use greens powder for all sorts of benefits including antioxidants, vitamins and minerals etc: amzn.to/49w0bKR Stay off any meds and vaccines as much as possible. Basically there's liver and kidney issues so better diet as suggested above, the greens, the milk thistle will help here. And take a break from the additional supplements you currently give. Give little and often drinks of plain coconut water and get some pink mountain rock salt or celtic salt and give a tiny pinch in the coconut water twice daily.

A pleasure, Oxilates are the hidden health risk most never talk about. If an animal needs to reduce inflamation crated by poor nutrition, herbs are good. They are not food; they are, after all, medicine. If the cause of the inflamation is removed, then the herbs can be aleviated. Extra virgin olive oil has exceptional anti-inflammatory properties. My dog has a serving spoon full each day. My dog eats his body weight in meat each month (29 kg) in additons to lung liver and kidney with 30 eggs, inclusive of shells, a bag of peas, and half a kilogramme of lard. He runs 5 miles a day, and the vet cannot work out why he is so fit when not eating packaged kibble dog food... (I just slapped my own forhead.) Odin the Airdale just has that look of OK now what are we going to do on his happy face all day long. Thank you for all the info Dan.

@@elmafudd9703 I've done a little digging into oxalates and it's fairly complex. Just from what I have looked at, I'd still say it's underlying issues from diet/drugs that create most inflammation and that oxalates then become a burden on top as the kidneys are stressed. I basically don't think they are the cause, they potentially exacerbate the issues already at issue. I'll recommend cinamon/ curcumin next time for better balance. Love Odin's diet, what dogs should eat and yes, olive oil is excellent, I made a video about it. Thanks for sharing, prompted more research into oxalates.

Just spray as needed. Several squirts to cover the area once or twice daily for 5-11 days as needed to heal then stop. Not for continuous use.

No it wont, sorry. Surgery is often needed to treat anal fistulas as they do not usually heal by themselves. There are several different procedures. The best option for your dog will depend on the position of the fistula and whether it's a single channel or branches off in different directions. Your vet will know more about this. I'd definitely want to keep it clean so there's no infection causing an abscesses. I'd consult with your vet and budget for possible surgery. Anal fistulas usually require surgery as they rarely heal if left untreated. The main options include: a fistulotomy - a procedure that involves cutting open the whole length of the fistula so it heals into a flat scar.

Oh the despair, I feel for you. I'd use neem oil as contact with the flea means death over 24 hrs but safe on animals/humans and natural. You could get a large spray bottle or the one you have currently, add 3 parts neem oil, 1 part liquid soap and the rest warm water, shake and spray everywhere but do it in the evening as you'll also kill bees and in th evening they've gone home. So if the sprayer was 1 gallon, that's 6 Tblesp neem oil, 2 Tblesp liquid soap, the rest warm water. Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq Kills fleas/ticks/mozzies/lice. Can also soak a bandana in neat neem oil and use as a collar on the dog in the yard. If spraying in the house, be carefull as neem is an oil, might be issues cleaning up and it's a bit smelly, sort of garlicky/nutty smelling but you can add a few drops of either Lavender, chamomile, cedarwood, peppermint, and frankincense oil are all safe for dogs. For in the house, Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade - amzn.to/3D9KEiR can be spread lightly everywhere, left 24hrs then vaccumed up. This dessicates the fleas. Best of luck (otherwise it's a flamethrower, lol)

It's an excellent antibiotic and should clear up the infection. If feeding kibbles take out half and replace with fresh foods like eggs, meats, sardines: amzn.to/3vaXrj6 and part cooked blended/crushed veg or use greens powder: amzn.to/49w0bKR 1 heaped tsp daily in food. Gotta keep carbs low, no vaccs, no vet drugs. All cause yeast/infection.

@DanScott1 His Vet says Denamarin has milk thistle. Should I stop giving him this med while on the thistle drops ? Also should I give him the drops for 3 months and then take one month break ?
